A visit

Last Friday, we welcomed a wonderful group of visitors. More than 60 school administrators from schools south of Reykjavík and the Reykjanes Peninsula came to learn about Fellaskóli's approach and how we work with a multicultural student body. Inga Björg spoke about how we incorporate music and foster creativity in school life — including through partnerships with Tónskóli Sigursveins, Tóney, and the Árbær-Breiðholt School Band — and how we bring together reading, literature, and creativity during the school's theme weeks. Brynja then shared how we approach literacy at the school. She also highlighted the strong partnership between Fellaskóli and the preschools in the neighborhood. The visit wrapped up with a tour of several upper-grade classrooms and a walk through Listafell.
