Polish school closing ceremony

The Polish school's closing ceremony was held at Fellaskóli on Saturday, May 23. The Polish school enrolled nearly 350 students this past year, with roughly 10% coming from Fellaskóli. The Polish school has been in operation for 18 years. Classes are held on Saturdays and serve students at both the preschool and primary school levels. Students complete the program after eight years, and this year 19 students graduated. The graduation ceremony drew a large crowd.  Helping students develop strong skills in their native language alongside Icelandic is essential, which is why the Polish school and similar institutions play such an important role.
