Young People's Icelandic Language Award
The Young People's Icelandic Language Award in Reykjavík, a City of Literature, is presented annually to mark Icelandic Language Day.
The award ceremony was held at Harpa on Monday, Nov. 17. The award's goal is to boost youth interest in the Icelandic language and encourage their progress in both spoken and written expression. The award's patron is Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, Iceland's former president.
The Fellaskóla students recognized for their strong performance in Icelandic and their overall engagement in their studies were Jökull Máni from 4th grade, Emilia Dís from 7th grade and Katla from 10th grade. We congratulate them.
