Joy at Fellaskóli's spring festival
Festive spirits ran high in the Fella neighborhood on Tuesday as Fellaskóli hosted its annual spring festival. The weather was certainly on our side—it remained dry throughout, and the sun peeked through the clouds as if to join the celebration.
A grand parade departing from the school kicked off the program. The Árbær and Breiðholt school band led the procession with flair, playing upbeat music while marching through the neighborhood. A large, colorful crowd of students and families followed, filling the streets with vibrant color and a true sense of celebration.
Bouncy castles, fortune tellers, and a rollover simulator
Back at the school, a lively and varied lineup of activities awaited guests of all ages. Children leaped into the bouncy castles, a bubble artist conjured animals and fantastical creatures from soap bubbles, and the ever-popular rollover simulator drove home the importance of seatbelt safety in an effective—and decidedly spin-heavy—way.
Adding a touch of mystery to the festivities, fortune tellers roamed the grounds, reading the futures of anyone who stopped by to everyone's delight. Meanwhile, the schoolyard buzzed with activity, offering games and the irresistible aroma of grilled hot dogs for hungry festivalgoers.
School bands and VÆB take the stage
Music played a central role throughout the day. Fellaskóli's various bands took the stage to showcase their hard work over the winter, earning enthusiastic applause for their impressive performances.
VÆB took the stage to great excitement, with everyone singing along and having a wonderful time.
The festival was a resounding success, and guests enjoyed a fantastic time in Efra-Breiðholt on what turned out to be a truly memorable day.
